The online certified caregiver training center allows caregivers to take courses at their own pace to advance their skills and provide top care for the elderly.
With over 80 online training modules, caregivers are able to select courses that meet their unique state requirements and specific training needs including:
- Duties of a Caregiver
- Ethics and Personal Rights
- Providing Good Nutrition
- Food and Culture
- First Aid: Burns and Poisons
- First Aid: Sudden Emergencies
- Emergency First Aid
- Providing Personal Care
- End of Life Care
State requirements vary greatly - some states require no formalized training while others are now starting to require 8 to 40+ hours of training before employees start and/or during the first few months of employment.
Caregiver training modules are available 24/7. After 80% successful course completion, caregivers receive a certificate outlining their accomplishment to present to employers for verification.
"In addition to new state requirements, there's a direct correlation between caregiver burnout and level of training," adds Kurtyka. "Couple a caregiver shortage and high industry turnover and training not only seems like a 'nice-to-have' but it's a necessity for homecare agencies to retain talent."
